Lola Alexandra Piccard was born in Franklin, Tennessee and grew up on a horse farm overlooking the Harpeth River.  Her family raises steeplechase horses and love to ride in the Hunt or Riding to the Hounds.  They were among the founders of the Iroquois Steeplechase an international event held annually in Nashville the second Saturday in May which benefits Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.  Lola’s family has been friends with the Fibians for years. They met ages ago through their affiliation with Steeplechase events.

As a young woman, Lola was a very successful fashion model, working predominantly in New York, Los Angeles, Paris and Milan. Her face graced the covers of many fashion magazines throughout the world.  While walking down the runway at a fashion show for a famous designer in Manhattan, Lola tripped and fell off the end of the runway into the lap of a man sitting on the front row.  When she looked up it was none other than her old friend, Francois Fibian V.  After the show, Francois asked her to dinner and they became reacquainted.

Lola and Francois have spent a great deal of time together since she fell off the runway. They plan their trips to overlap whenever possible. Francois has found a woman who embellishes him, and has no intention of losing her.
