Morning after Martini

  Hi Sweet Darling,

I am so sorry but I won’t be able to come to the Hamptons this summer; however, I have just discovered that one of my oldest and dearest friends is going to be there for most of the season.  I can’t imagine how it’s possible that the two of you have never met.  Well, he is absolutely fabulous and you must make a point of contacting him the minute you arrive.

His name is Francois Fibian, of the Louisiana Fibians.  He’s a very old friend of the family; we’ve known each other practically since birth.  We lost touch for years during school and have just recently reconnected.  Francois is absolutely divine, actually quite unique.  I promise you have never met anyone quite like him before.  He dances better than Astaire; plays the piano; is fluent in seven languages and can make a martini that will bring tears to your eyes.  He graduated from Harvard Law, practiced in New York for a while and hated it.  He’s been searching the world trying to find himself ever since. Watch out though, Francois has always been a bit of a rogue; great date, terrible boyfriend.

Great family, though a little peculiar.  I recently met his illegitimate twin brother Maurice; can you imagine?  Rest assured with Francois around there won’t be a dull moment.  He’s a man of action.  He travels constantly and knows absolutely everybody on earth.  In Fact, Francois and I have been traveling together for several months and quite frankly I’ve got to have some peace and quiet.  I’m all danced out.

Well, have a great summer and stay in touch.  By the way, did I mention Francois is tall, dark and green?  I promise you he is fabulous.

 Love,

Jann
